Assuring the health and well-being of dogs is the top priority for Skylars Logistic Carriers. As a trusted pet distributor, Skylars Logistic Carriers is committed to transporting puppies safely from responsible breeders to quality pet stores. We ask that every member of the Skylars Logistic Carriers team as well as our partner delivery specialists share in this commitment to ensuring all puppies arrive at their destinations healthy and ready to join a forever family.

  1. 1. One delivery specialist must be provided for each vehicle.
  2. 2. All vehicles and kennel facilities must be deconstructed and disinfected weekly, using veterinary-grad cleaners.
  3. 3. Vinyl aprons are to be worn when handling pups to reduce contact with clothing at SKYLAR'S Logistic Carriers, en route and upon arrival at the destination.
  4. 4. Veterinary-grade cleaners/sanitizers (antibacterial and virucidal) are to be used to disinfect vinyl aprons and hands between contact with each puppy while at SKYLAR'S Logistic Carriers and en route.
  5. 5. Detailed records must be kept of which enclosure animals are housed on the vehicles as well as the names of the delivery specialists for tracking purposes. These records must be provided to SKYLARS Logistic Carriers weekly.
  6. 6. Animals are to be tended to no less than every four hours, as mandated by the USDA, by a delivery specialist. Drivers must have full access to the area in which animals are housed during transportation at all times.
  7. 7. If a dog is in distress for whatever reason, the delivery specialist should address the issue immediately. The state mandates that all transportation companies carry the contact information of a veterinarian along the transportation route. In case of an emergency, the nearest veterinarian should be contacted. Drivers also may contact the SKYLARS Logistic Carriers veterinarian 24 hours a day / 7 days a week.
  8. 8. Delivery specialists are required to clean kennels to maintain a clean environment and follow USDA guidelines throughout delivery.
  9. 9. Drivers are required to ensure all animals have constant access to food and water throughout the trip.
  10. 10. Vehicles must be temperature controlled at all times through air conditioning and heat units.
  11. 11. It is Skylars Logistic Carriers goal that animals spend no more than 48 hours in the vehicle before delivery to the destination. The company agrees to schedule deliveries to meet this goal.
  12. 12. All drivers must utilize low-stress handling when in physical contact with the animals in their care.
  13. 13. Transportation housing must exceed the USDA guidelines for space requirements.
Section 1(Required)
All pets must be at least 8 weeks of age to be transported. The individual requesting or arranging for transport certifies that the pet being transported by Skylars Logistic Carriers is at least 8 weeks of age on or before the transport pick-up date. The person signing this form certifies the age of the pet to be at least 8 weeks old.
Section 2(Required)
A current rabies vaccination certificate must travel with your pet for pets over 16 weeks of age.
Section 3(Required)
A valid health certificate issued by a veterinarian is required no sooner than 30 days before the schedule delivery date. The certificate must travel with the pet. Medical records or vaccine records cannot be used as a substitution.
Section 4(Required)
A copy of our Emergency Care Authorization form must be completed and must travel with your pet. If multiple pets are traveling, you may list them all on a single form, or you may attach a blank sheet of paper to the form if additional space is needed. This form permits us to take your pet to a qualified veterinarian in the event they become ill during transport. Should this be necessary, we will make every effort to contact you before seeking emergency action. However, if you cannot be reached to have medical emergency treatment approved by you, we will use our discretion to ensure the well-being and health of your pet. All charges for veterinary care will be your responsibility. There will be an additional charge for the administration of any medication at the rate of the veterinarian. Please have the Emergency Care Authorization form, a health certificate(s), and a copy of rabies certificates in an envelope readily available for the driver when your pet is picked up.
Section 5(Required)
We will require an ample amount of food for your pet in a container or bag that can be closed/sealed securely. No paper or plastic supermarket bags. Please label your food bag with your pet’s name and feeding instructions (amounts and frequency of meals). Your pet will have access to fresh, clean drinking water. We will provide all crates, water, and treats unless otherwise specified.
Section 6(Required)
We can only accept a tote or a square container that is approximately no larger than a 5-lb. bag of dog food. In addition, you may send a pet bed. Anything larger than this must be cleared in advance and will be based on the availability of space on board at the time of transporting.
Section 7(Required)
We will not transport any pet that requires a muzzle or other restrictive device. Our driver-handlers reserve the right to refuse transport of any pet that displays signs of aggression.
Section 8(Required)
50% of the total transport fee is due at booking & secure route. The remaining 50% is due before your pet is delivered. The methods of payments that we receive are PayPal, Venmo, & Zelle. There are no refunds for clients who do not cancel 72 hours before the scheduled pick-up. Once a deposit is made for any international transport 50% of the deposit is refundable only.
Section 9(Required)
Scheduling - Pick-up and Delivery. You will be given a one-week window of time for pickup and delivery. We may need to make a pickup or delivery outside of normal business hours to keep on schedule and to meet your needs. We cannot guarantee specific pickup and delivery dates and times, especially on our multi-pet transports. We will only give you an estimated date for pickup and delivery. We will make every effort to adhere to dates specified by you to Skylars Logistic Carriers, but there can be unforeseeable circumstances that affect the dates given for transport which can include weather, road conditions, acts of God, etc. If no person is present at the time of transport and/or the above-described paperwork is not in order at the time of pick-up or delivery, we may have to continue without your pet. You will be charged for the full amount of the transport fee.
Section 10(Required)
Length of Transport - You understand that there is no guarantee or promise made as to the length of time necessary to complete the transport of your pet. The duration of transport is determined by routing, weather, and traffic conditions and could potentially last up to 4 days. While this is rare, all efforts will be made to keep you informed and to keep your pet as comfortable and happy as possible. We provide transport services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You will be provided with estimated pick-up and delivery dates. We will make every effort to arrive at convenient times, however, scheduling changes and unforeseen delays beyond our control may occur.
Section 11(Required)
DELIVERY - We will make every reasonable attempt to notify the person receiving the pet of our estimated time of arrival. If no one is available to receive the animal and/or we are unable to contact the responsible party, there will be a daily fee of $100 per pet to defray the cost of care and boarding. The party ordering the transport will be responsible for these charges. We recommend that alternate arrangements be made in the event the person responsible for receiving the animal is unable to do so. The receiving party must be available 24 hours a day.
Section 12(Required)
Cat bites, in particular, can be dangerous and require medical attention. Due to the serious nature of the bite drivers do not place cats in their kennels or chase them upon arrival. It is important that all pets on board trust the driver and we believe that the pet parent pickup contact should be the one to kennel cats. If the cats are not in a carrier isolated to a small room where the owner can easily gather them it puts everyone at a disadvantage and the driver may leave the pickup location without boarding the cats. A refund will not be given. The drivers are instructed not to place the cat/cats into the carrier/kennel but it is expected the owner will place the cats in their carriers or kennel.
